Candidates for this position must have the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related scientific field
• Five years experience designing, deploying and maintaining web applications
• Five years of experience developing in the .NET development environment, including commercial (journeyman) level proficiency in one or more of the .NET development languages (C# or C++)
• Two years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Proficiency in one or more mark-up languages (SML, XML and UML)
• Working knowledge of portal technology and content management system (CMS) concepts
• Working knowledge of the Windows desktop operating system
• Familiarity with web hosting concepts/features
• Experience with Infopath (XML-based forms)
• Deep commitment to code documentation, source control, and software testing procedures
• Deep commitment to customer service
• Ability to juggle multiple projects using various technologies
• Superior analytical skills: must be able to analyze client needs and develop cost-effective web-based solutions and must be a creative technical problem solver
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Ability to interact effectively with management, users, and other programmers
• Ability to work on cross-functional teams
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills: must communicate well with other software engineers and be able to explain technical concepts to clients in simple terms
• Honesty and reliability

Preferred Technical Qualifications

• Experience with the Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS) platform (strongly preferred)
• Experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
• Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
• Working knowledge of JavaScript
• Working knowledge of security principles and authentication protocols against Active Directory

This position is a full time position. You must be able to work normal business hours, at either the Niche offices or a client site. You must be willing to occasionally work a flexible schedule; there will be instances when you are required to adjust your schedule in order to meet a deadline. This position might include some weekend work entailing on-site administration and maintenance of the collaboration environment.

We will consider applicants with a range of experience. Compensation will be based on the candidate's skills and experience.
