WIRELESS MARKUP LANGUAGE

Module Description
The components of the WAP specification correlate to components of the wired Internet. Wireless Markup Language (WML), for example, defines the way a document appears in a microbrowser, just as HTML describes how documents appear in conventional Web browsers. However, the elements of the WAP specification have been optimized for handheld use. This module explores WAP optimization and introduces you to WML and WMLScript.

Duration
Approximately 15 minutes

After completing this module, you will be able to:

  • Explain how the components of the WAP specification have been optimized for wireless use.
  • Describe WML.
  • Identify important features of WMLScript.
